Laboratory Partners began with a vision of building a strong independent regional clinical laboratory. The purpose was clear - to deliver high quality services to physicians, to offer state of the art testing and to grow the operation. The acquisition of six locally owned and operated laboratories began in 2007, creating a large coverage area extending from west central Indiana to Ohio, from Cleveland in the north down to Cincinnati in the southern part of the state. The growth continued farther south with the addition of laboratories in Kentucky and extended west to St. Louis, Missouri. This dominant laboratory network became known as MEDLAB. Our intention through this combination of laboratories was to combine high quality, local service with more expansive test menus. MEDLAB is organized into three operating divisions: the Western Region covering Indiana, Illinois and eastern Missouri; the Northern Region which extends from Cleveland to Columbus Ohio; and the Southern Region encompassing Cincinnati, Ohio and Louisville and Lexington, Kentucky. This organization maintains local service to deliver quality medical testing from routine screenings to molecular testing and pathology services to hospitals, physicians and skilled nursing facilities. MEDLAB also offers clients enhanced services such as connectivity options, expanded test menus and shorter turn around times.
